Dance Pedagogy Meetings
InDancEdu is launching a new series of educational activities to support the professional development, empowerment and connection of the dance teaching community.
At Dance Pedagogy Meetings, we come together to explore, share and learn collectively: connecting theory with practice, exchanging experiences from teaching, and developing more participatory, inclusive and sustainable pedagogical approaches.
This first series consists of 5 monthly meetings and is intended for dance educators who wish to expand their teaching tools, reflect on their practice and become part of an active learning community.
The meetings will take place in small groups, allowing time and space for dialogue, sharing experiences and responding to participants’ needs.
What we will explore in the 5 meetings
- Getting to know one another, theoretical starting points and contemporary pedagogical approaches through practical examples of dance teaching.
- Social dimensions of the educational process: how we approach and work with a diverse classroom.
- Group and conflict management through examples drawn from teaching experience.
- Educational action research as a tool for empowerment, understanding and reflection.
- Reflective tools, a collective review and next steps towards building a dance pedagogy community.
Meeting schedule
The meetings take place once a month, on Fridays, at our offices (36 Krisila Street, Pangrati), in two groups:
- Group A: 16:00 – 18:00
- Group B: 18:30 – 20:30
Dates: 30 January, 27 February, 27 March, 24 April, 29 May
Number of participants per group: 4–7.
